Welcome everybody to this forum. I have received a lot of questions if i know a website like Shinyuploads.com was before and requests about relaunch the website as it was.

As some of you know i was building a new website a few years ago. The name was chosen and i was almost done with the building. Then the EU announced a new laws GDPR and Article 13. The GDPR was not a such problem but article 13 is. 

What is article 13?
Article 13 is about copyright. With the new law that starts in the summer of 2021 all website that not have the copyright of (for example) a photo are responsible for the damage of the missing income of the artist.

In brief: I have to setup a upload filter, and i have to check every image to check who is the owner of the image(s) and ask if it is ok to share the image. In the past we had a filter too so that is not a problem (i have to extend it with more options). But for a forum there is no upload filter.

My question to you is: How can we make sure we keep these rules here?
And what about the content you create, your personal images?

If we do not have a solution for this, a restart would not be possible.

Apart from all this, the question for this forum is which categories should we use? Do we want adult content?

I would like to do a restart but with your input.

Hi Eric.
I was happy to read that there might be a relaunch of this site.
Was a member for a very long time, and once in a while uploaded some pics as well.
Can understand the new GDPR regulations can cause some problems or issues with some images or videos, but hopefully there can be some new content here.
I will follow it closely again.

Well, since this is just called "ShinyUploads" and not "The Power of Women in Spandex," I think as long as it's someone wearing a tight, shiny material, beit nylon, spandex/Lycra, latex, PVC, etc., it's allowed here. The only thing that wouldn't would be posts that have nothing to do with the subject. Pix can be of either guys or gals or nonbinaries.

sorry if this is slightly off topic but could you not set up an elite/vip area where certain members can "discuss" content validity .
i was a member on the old site for years and have also been a moderator on a few now dead forums and have a huge archive spanning probably 15+ years of collecting.

A little update: I'm busy to create a simple upload module to the forum to add multiple images to a topic. This to avoid external sharing websites. Next week i have plenty of time to add this feature.

An update about the 'new' upload feature.



As you can see i'm building a new upload module for this forum. This module will be intergrated into the new SU website. Each upload session will create a gallery if you want. Images will be stored to the database (in to the approval system). For content creators / copyright owners i will add an option to bypass the upload filter. After uploading BBcodes will be generated to add the gallery to a topic. More options for more control will be added later.

Other changes:
On the Members info pages i have replaced MSN with Instagram.
