A few days ago, I stumbled upon the long-closed bookmarks and discovered that this great forum has reopened.

I'm happy to be back! I was having some issues with the cookies, but everything seems to be working fine now.

I'll take a look around in the next few days.

Also from my side a lot of thanks and appreciation for all the efforts, work and keeping this forum still alive. Big respect

By the way and this is totally a personal opinion: keep the forum structure in the new setup small. It can grow overtime. The current setup can feel a bit 'overwelming' for people I think.

This is greatly appreciated. onetobeseen you’re one of the most loyal forum members, and it’s awesome that you’re still here after all these years.

But the decision about the forum has been made. Around mid-October, I’ll be transforming this forum into shinyforums.com.. Besides updating the logo, I’ll also be making some technical changes for example, the email server doesn’t always deliver the registration emails reliably. I’ll also make sure the mobile experience improves significantly.

The integration with shinyuploads will be removed, so I'll need to implement a new method for image moderation. This might mean that moderators will have to review posts before they're published, just like we used to do in the past.

I'd really like to hear input from the members about their wishes and ideas. I always say anything is possible, but it does need to be programmed. So please share your thoughts.

We also need to agree on how to handle Notice and Takedown requests (DMCA). In short, there's still a lot to sort out.
